Drivers

A Windows® driver is available for use with the USB interface on the C53 Tablet Hardness Tester. The driver should be installed BEFORE connecting the C53 to the computer; this will allow Windows® to install the correct driver automatically. Once installed a COM port will be created allowing access to the machine in the same way as the RS232 port allows, such as by using Hpyerterminal. C53 Firmware Updates

New versions of the operating firmware in the C53 Tablet Hardness Tester are released occasionally. The current firmware version is v1.02. C53 users can request new firmware to be emailed to them using the form below. Firmware can be loaded into the machine from a Windows® PC via either the RS232 or USB port using the software provided below. This software also includes a function to check online for new firmware updates. Instructions for updating the firmware will be emailed with the new firmware.

Please ensure you provide the serial numbers of all the machines you want to update. Serial numbers are checked to ensure the firmware is compatible with your machines. Firmware will be emailed to the address given above.
